Testimonial from Liia Ann White

I just received this fab testimonial from Liia Ann White – who booked a blog tour for her latest release through WMS.

I used Lucy’s Writer Marketing Services for a blog tour and was instantly left wondering why I hadn’t used her earlier. I’ve used other promotional companies to organise blog tours and appearances, but none of them compare to Lucy. Within hours of emailing her regarding the tour, she responded – not an easy feat with the time difference between the two of us – and she had great spots booked up within days. The entire process ran smoothly and I couldn’t have been happier.

The tour was a great success and Lucy promoted my guest spots on both her personal Twitter and Erotica For All accounts.

I plan on using Writer Marketing Services again and again and again.

Brand New Website & Now Booking for February

Today I added another satisfied customer to my portfolio! Diane Alberts, a romance writer, asked me to create a new website for her and her fast growing collection of books, and today the project was completed. As is the case with these projects, there was lots of to-ing and fro-ing, but the site is now complete and Diane has let me know she’s very happy with the results. So much so, that she wrote me this glowing recommendation:

Lucy listened to what I wanted, and gave me all of it..but in a better version than what I’d pictured! I asked for beauty and simplicity, and she followed through. Her updates were frequent, and she never left me wondering if she was working hard on my site- I knew she was! I highly recommend Lucy if you want a friendly, knowledgeable, detail-conscientious web designer!

Check out the newly-updated DianeAlberts.com here!

In other news, I’ve scheduled several blog tours of late, and I’m now scheduling into February. So if you’re looking to run a blog tour for your new book, please contact me ASAP to make sure you get the dates you require! More info and pricing on blog tours here.

Lucy Felthouse will be helping sex bloggers and erotica writers write sex right at Eroticon 2012.

Lucy Felthouse is on the speaker line up for the UK’s very first sex blogger and erotica writer’s conference, Eroticon 2012.  The conference, on March 3rd in Bristol, will be helping experienced and aspiring writers to right sex write with discussions, workshops and inspiration sessions.

I’m looking forward to it.”

The conference is the brain child of erotica author Ruby Kiddell, who explains;

“Having attended other blogging and writing conferences this year I felt there was a need for a safe and inspiring event wherein sex bloggers and erotica writers could meet, learn and talk about their genre and all to do with it.”

Speakers and sessions confirmed so far include:

  • Maxim Jakubowski : Writing workshop, Publishers’ panel
  • Zoe Margolis : Identity, ethics and sex blogging panel, Sex and the media panel
  • Hazel Cushion of Xcite books : Publishers’ panel
  • Lucy Felthouse : Marketing your work, publishers’ panel
  • John Tisbury :  Photography workshop

The conference will close with a cocktail party which promises to be an evening of sublime sauciness with readings from the UK’s most exciting emerging writers.

Two New Websites & A Blog Tour

Well, I have been busy of late! I’ve completed two new websites, both for creative types. One was for Maggie Hatchard, a Staffordshire based artist, who specialises in flowers and architecture. The other was for Slave Nano, an erotic writer whose naughty stories are definitely not for the faint hearted! You can see both websites in my Portfolio and follow the links if you want to check out their sites.

I also ran a week-long blog tour for Tabitha Rayne to help promote her new release, Mia’s Books. It went very well and Tabitha was so pleased with the service that she wrote me a lovely testimonial, which you can see here, along with Slave Nano’s newly added testimonial.

I’m now busy working on another website, as well as some promotion for existing clients and also a non-fiction title. It’s all go!

Highly Recommended

When I have finished a project I ask all my clients if they’d mind writing me a testimonial. This one from Casey Sheridan popped into my inbox today.

I originally contacted Lucy Felthouse at Writer Marketing Services for help with promotion for my release of Ruby Red Metallic.

Once we discussed a few options, Lucy wasted no time setting up guest blogs and interviews for me at a number of places, handled two or three giveaways, sent out my book for review and posted links to all my appearances on Twitter and Facebook.

Lucy was able to work within my budget and with my odd schedule. She was always available to answer my questions and address any concerns.

Promoting a book can be an overwhelming task for a relatively unknown author. Hiring Lucy was the best thing I could have done for my book and myself. Lucy is well known and well respected in the publishing industry, her contacts and insights made for a flawless experience.

I plan to contact Lucy for future releases.

I highly recommend Lucy Felthouse at Writer Marketing Services.

Naturally, I’m very pleased that Casey is pleased – I do my best to be there to answer questions and assist with any concerns, making sure my clients are happy with what I’m doing. Thanks for the testimonial, Casey, and I look forward to working with you in the future!

Another Satisfied Customer!

I just added a new project to my Portfolio – the complete overhaul and redesign of D. W. Marchwell’s website. You can see more information on the process here.

When I asked D. W. if he would mind doing a testimonial for my services, he happily obliged. When I received it, I was delighted. I knew he’d been happy with my work, but seeing it in black and white just makes it seem so much more real, somehow.

Here are D. W.’s comments:

I thought the task of redesigning my website would be long and complicated, but Ms. Felthouse made the entire process easy to understand and even easier to finish. Ms. Felthouse’s attention to achieving the look and feel I wanted on the site was exemplary. If you’re looking for someone who is easy to work with, easy to understand and who will get the job done right the first time, you won’t be disappointed with Ms. Felthouse’s work.

Pat on the back for me!

Latest News

Hi everyone. I just wanted to pop a quick post on here as I realise I’ve been rather quiet. However, it’s been for a good reason – because I’ve been so busy!

As well as doing little bits and pieces here and there for clients, I’ve also been working on big PR campaigns for two erotic writers. They’re both promoting new and upcoming releases, as well as themselves in general, so I’ve been busy juggling various appearances and interviews, and keeping their promotional calendars organised. If this is something you’re interested in having me do for you, please contact me to discuss.

I also have a couple of websites in different stages of completion. Again, if you’re looking for a professional, easy to use and update website that doesn’t cost the earth, please give me a shout.

A Good Week for Web Launches!

This week I’ve launched not one, but two websites!

One is for celebrity biographer, Nigel Goodall, who’s currently celebrating his 20th year as a published author – congratulations to Nigel! He wanted his site launched in honour of this milestone and based on his testimonial, he’s as happy with the result of this project as I am! Check out Nigel’s site at http://nigelgoodall.co.uk.

The second website belongs to erotic author, Justine Elyot. Her new site showcases the fabulous books and stories she’s produced for publishers including (now sadly defunct) Black Lace, Cleis Press, Noble Romance, Total-E-Bound and Xcite Books. It also incorporates her blog, meaning everything “Justine” is now in one place. Check out the new site at http://justineelyot.com.

I’m also starting work on another couple of websites soon, so dependent on timescales, there may be more appearing in my Portfolio early next month.

Web Launch For Lexie Bay

I just wanted to add a quick update on my latest completed project. Lexiebay.co.uk is now live!

I’ve been working closely with Lexie over the past few weeks or so to get this website up and running. It’s a combined website and blog, meaning people can visit the site to find about more about Lexie’s work and also engage with her through blog posts and social media.

Also, if you’re so inclined, there are lots of free reads and poems on there for you to enjoy! Click here to visit the site.

In other news, I’m also working on a couple of other websites, one of which should hopefully be launching next week, so watch this space!

Completed Project Update

Here are a couple of small projects I’ve undertaken in the past week or two:

Writer Kay Jaybee asked me to build her a Facebook Fan page, to promote the work she already has out, and also in preparation for upcoming releases. You can get more information on the Portfolio page, or visit the page directly by going here.

K D Grace, also a writer, requested a Facebook Fan page too. Her reasoning was the same as Kay’s, to be able to communicate directly with her readers and keep them updated on current and upcoming releases. Again, more information is available on the Portfolio page, or you can see K D’s page here.

K D also wanted personalisation of her Twitter feed, in order to closely match the look and feel of her website. You can see the results on her Twitter page, here.
