Price Increases from 5th March

Hi everyone,

As much as I hate doing this kind of thing, following a conversation with my accountant, I have been advised to increase some of my prices. Changes apply from 5th March 2024.

Here is a summary of the changes:

  • My editing fee is increasing from £5 per 1,000 words words to £5.50 per 1,000 words
  • My proofreading fee is increasing from £3 per 1,000 words words to £3.50 per 1,000 words

I’m sure you will agree these prices are still very competitive and I hope you will continue working with me.

Bear in mind that all these prices are in British pounds, as I’m in the UK. This, however, does NOT mean I only deal with UK clients – far from it. But I quote in British pounds since I invoice in British pounds. Exchange rates will be estimated at time of payment, and dependent on payment method.

Thanks,
Lucy

Price Increases from 1st February

Hi everyone,

Cover reveals are increasing from £25 to £26.

Release blitzes are increasing from £25 to £26, with the review option add-on increasing from £5 to £6.

Blog tours are increasing from:

One week – £30 to £32.

Three weeks – £70 to £72.

Four weeks – £90 to £92.

Bear in mind that all these prices are in British pounds, as I’m in the UK. This, however, does NOT mean I only deal with UK clients – far from it. But I quote in British pounds since I invoice in British pounds – PayPal and their exchange rates will do the rest.

Thanks,

Lucy

Confirmed Speaker at Smut by the Sea

I’m delighted to announce that I will be speaking at this year’s Smut by the Sea event, which takes place on the 14th June in Scarborough, England.

I’ll be giving a talk on promotion and marketing from 1pm – 1.50pm. Come along to receive hints, tips and advice on how to handle the dark art of selling your books once you’ve written.

There’s lots more going on, too, including talks and workshops on inspiration, writing better erotica and an erotic reading and poetry slam. There will also be a bookstall, a craft stall and an erotic tombola.

So, what are you waiting for? If you’re up for some smut by the sea, then come to Smut by the Sea! Tickets and full details are available at http://smutbythesea.co.uk

K D Grace and Grace Marshall

K D Grace has been a client of mine since I first launched Writer Marketing Services. I created and maintain her website, and deal with her PR. Now, excitingly, this popular author has also started writing under another pen name!

K D Grace writes incredibly hot erotica and erotic romance, and her alter ego, Grace Marshall, writes hot romance. The launch of this new pen name and the book deal that spawned it inevitably meant that another website and social media presence was required. Therefore, I created and launched GraceMarshallRomance.co.uk (with graphics designed by Kevin Mitnik of Blisse UK), and opened a new Twitter account and Facebook Fan Page for Grace Marshall. Grace is currently finishing her first book and it will be launched in coming months, so make sure to keep an eye on her site and social media profiles for further news.

Following the launch of the Grace Marshall website, myself and K D/Grace, decided that now would be the perfect time to revamp the KDGrace.co.uk website. So once Grace Marshall was made live, I started work on the K D Grace website. I used the same WordPress theme but with different colours and graphics (also created by Kevin Mitnik) to make it clear that K D Grace and Grace Marshall are one and the same, but write different books. Though I’m sure many readers will enjoy both sets of books!

So, please go and visit both sites and enjoy some superbly written books!

Testimonial from Liia Ann White

I just received this fab testimonial from Liia Ann White – who booked a blog tour for her latest release through WMS.

I used Lucy’s Writer Marketing Services for a blog tour and was instantly left wondering why I hadn’t used her earlier. I’ve used other promotional companies to organise blog tours and appearances, but none of them compare to Lucy. Within hours of emailing her regarding the tour, she responded – not an easy feat with the time difference between the two of us – and she had great spots booked up within days. The entire process ran smoothly and I couldn’t have been happier.

The tour was a great success and Lucy promoted my guest spots on both her personal Twitter and Erotica For All accounts.

I plan on using Writer Marketing Services again and again and again.

Two New Websites & A Blog Tour

Well, I have been busy of late! I’ve completed two new websites, both for creative types. One was for Maggie Hatchard, a Staffordshire based artist, who specialises in flowers and architecture. The other was for Slave Nano, an erotic writer whose naughty stories are definitely not for the faint hearted! You can see both websites in my Portfolio and follow the links if you want to check out their sites.

I also ran a week-long blog tour for Tabitha Rayne to help promote her new release, Mia’s Books. It went very well and Tabitha was so pleased with the service that she wrote me a lovely testimonial, which you can see here, along with Slave Nano’s newly added testimonial.

I’m now busy working on another website, as well as some promotion for existing clients and also a non-fiction title. It’s all go!

Completed Project Update

Here are a couple of small projects I’ve undertaken in the past week or two:

Writer Kay Jaybee asked me to build her a Facebook Fan page, to promote the work she already has out, and also in preparation for upcoming releases. You can get more information on the Portfolio page, or visit the page directly by going here.

K D Grace, also a writer, requested a Facebook Fan page too. Her reasoning was the same as Kay’s, to be able to communicate directly with her readers and keep them updated on current and upcoming releases. Again, more information is available on the Portfolio page, or you can see K D’s page here.

K D also wanted personalisation of her Twitter feed, in order to closely match the look and feel of her website. You can see the results on her Twitter page, here.
